JVVNL: Jaipur residents to pay electricity bills every month from December

With the Supreme Court allowing Jaipur Discom (JVVNL) to continue with the new billing system called Revenue Management System on Tuesday, electricity customers in Jaipur will soon start getting their power bills every month. This system is likely to be implemented by December.

Jaipur: With the Supreme Court allowing Jaipur Discom (JVVNL) to continue with the new billing system called Revenue Management System on Tuesday, electricity customers in Jaipur will soon start getting their power bills every month. This system is likely to be implemented by December.

People will be able to payments online through Jaipur Discom (JVVNL) mobile app which will be launched by September.

The administration has started preparing for launching these services from December 1 after receiving a go-head from the Supreme Court.

According to Discom CMD RG Gupta, the system has got the approval from the Supreme Court and the work is in progress. The services have already started in other circles and by December it will be implemented in Jaipur circle too. Some people protested this decision and approached the apex court which stayed the monthly billing system.

Principal Secretary Sanjay Malhotra and CMD RG Gupta of Jaipur Discom have also launched e-collection of energy bills through NEFT\ RTGS services.

Jaipur Discom is all set to start a mobile application for bill payments by September for Jaipur residents. The app is successfully working in other 12 circles of the districts.

Online Services offered by this app are:

  • Users can register a complaint on the app in case of no electricity.
  • Users can inform the department about the fault in a transmitter
  • Users can report if there’s any fault or delay in the electricity bill.
  • Users can check the history of their bill on the app.
  • Users will be notified on the app after the transmitter reading will be done.
