JAIPUR: In a relief for air passengers, airlines have reduced fares from Jaipur to several cities, including Mumbai and Pune. According to a senior airport official, the number of tourists traveling by air has decreased due to the end of the tourist season in March, and people traveling for business or studies have also reduced. This has led to a decrease in passenger load, resulting in lower airfares.

The airfare from Jaipur to Mumbai has been reduced relatively, with 11 flights operating daily. The fare for Pune is also lower, with 3 flights operating daily. Additionally, the fare for Ahmedabad is Rs 4022, with 4 flights daily, while the fare for Delhi is Rs 2321, with 6 daily flights. There are also 2 daily flights from Jaipur to Udaipur, with a fare of Rs 3768, and 1 flight daily to Jodhpur, with a fare of Rs 3435. There are 5 daily flights from Jaipur to Hyderabad, with a fare of Rs 5119.

According to experts, the code of conduct imposed due to Lok Sabha elections is also a major reason for the reduction in airfare rates. The good air connectivity from Jaipur to these cities has increased competition among airlines, resulting in lower fares. It is noteworthy that fare increase is not possible till May.

Passenger traffic is expected to be less in April-May due to the end of the tourist season in March. While there were around 16,900 passengers arriving and departing daily in February, it was 16500 in March. Currently ,the average daily passenger load is between 14500-14750 .A total of 4 .75 lakh passengers traveled from Jaipur in February , however ,the passenger load figures for March have not been released yet .
