‘Bijli Mitra App’ functional in Jaipur from today : Now pay your electricity bill online

Apart from power bill payments, the users will get tips on cost-effective consumption and conservation of electricity (power saving measures). Consumers can apply for new connection, disconnection, name change and re-connection and know their application’s status on this app. Users will be able to make complaints about power theft or inflated bills on the app.

Jaipur: Jaipur residents will now be able to pay their electricity bills from the comfort of their homes through ‘Bijli Mitra App. The app started functioning on Friday.

The app is an initiative of Jaipur Discom (JVVNL) to make all the formalities related to power connections easy for consumers.  It was launched in all the other 12 circles of Jaipur Discom earlier and more than 80,000 users have downloaded this app.

Consumers will get a cash prize of 50,000 if he\she will use this app for the electricity bill payment. This is a lottery-based feature in which 100 lucky users will get the cash prize.

RG Gupta, CMD of Jaipur Discom said that the consumers can download this mobile application from Google play store or iPhone store. The user will have to feed 13-digit number ‘k’ from the electricity bill with other personal information, while registering on the app. After the verification, the user will be able to avail all the facilities and offers provided by the app.
