Parallel Literature Festival 2019 to be organized in Jaipur from January 27
More than 60 sessions will be held in three days during the Parallel Literature Festival 2019 from January 27. Several sessions on Indian languages including Rajasthani, Punjabi, Sindhi, Urdu, and Assamese will be organized.

Jaipur: The Parallel Literature Festival (PLF), which was started last year to oppose Jaipur Literature Festival (JLF) is back in town. The PLF 2019 will be organized from January 27 to January 29 in Jaipur. The venue of the event is not decided yet.
Recently, the former coordinator Krishna Kalpit resigned from the post saying that the PLF team is using JLF for their publicity. Senior literary personality Prem Chand Gandhi has been appointed the new coordinator.
More than 60 sessions will be held in three days during the Parallel Literature Festival 2019 from January 27. Several sessions on Indian languages including Rajasthani, Punjabi, Sindhi, Urdu, and Assamese will be organized. The representatives from Nepal and Sri Lanka will also participate in the festival along with several well-known writers and orators.
This time’s Parallel Literature Festival 2019 will be dedicated to popular poet Vishnu Khare, who attended PLF last year. Khare passed away a few months ago.
Also, several sessions will be dedicated to Razia Sajjad Zaheer, who was the famous progressive writer of his time. He will be remembered in the Parallel lit festival for his contribution to literature.
Syed Sajjad Zaheer was an Urdu writer, Marxist ideologue and radical revolutionary who worked in both India and Pakistan.
