Over 200 celebrities attend Priyanka – Nick wedding at Umaid Bhawan in Jodhpur

Jaipur: It’s official! Bollywood actress Priyanka Chopra and American Singer Nick Jonas tied the knot as per Hindu rituals at Taj Umaid Bhawan Palace in Jodhpur on Sunday. More than 200 guests from Bollywood and Hollywood along with the couple’s friends and relatives attended this grand wedding in Jodhpur. The couple married in a western ceremony on Saturday preceded by Sangeet and Mehndi Ceremony.

Priyanka and Nick got married with Hindu rituals and traditions on December 2. The pictures of the ceremony are not out yet. The wedding was a no photo event. No guests were allowed to post the pictures online on any social media platforms.

According to the sources, 11 priests performed the rituals and about 50 chefs from across the globe cooked delicious food in the wedding. Several Hollywood guests were part of this Royal Indian big fat wedding. Nick arrived on horseback wearing a turban with Baarat and took ‘Saat Pheras’ around with his lady love Priyanka Chopra 8:30 pm on Monday.

The celebrity couple exchanged vows in a western ceremony at Jodhpur on Saturday. The groom’s father, Paul Kevin Jonas Sr officiated the Christian ceremony and the couple wore Ralph Lauren designs at the ceremony.

PeeCee and Jonas celebrated their lavish Sangeet ceremony on Friday. It was a musical event. Priyanka Chopra uploaded pictures of her Sangeet ceremony on Instagram quoting, “It all began as a fierce song and dance competition between the families but ended, as always, as a huge celebration of love. Nick and I were looking forward to the Sangeet (musical evening), another pre-wedding ritual, and to see what each side had put together”.

“And what a performance it was. Each family telling our stories through song and dance, filled with lots of laughter and love. We were both filled with gratitude for the effort, the love, and the laughter and will carry the memories of this special evening for the rest of our lives. It is an amazing start to a lifetime of togetherness for our families and friends,” she further added.

The Umaid Bhawan Palace of Jodhpur looked surreal during the festivities of the royal wedding of the celebrity couple. Grand fireworks, Golden backdrop, music performances have turned the aura of the Blue city of Rajasthan into a festival.

The couple will host two lavish receptions for their families and friends, in Mumbai and Delhi. The Delhi reception will be on December 4 for Priyanka’s relatives.
