Priyanka – Nick wedding: ceremonies begin, celebrities start arriving in Jodhpur

Jaipur: The much-awaited wedding ceremonies of Bollywood celebrity Priyanka Chopra and American Singer Nick Jonas have begun at Umaid Bhawan Palace in Jodhpur. Mehendi and Sangeet Ceremonies were performed on Thursday.

PeeCee with fiancé Nick reached Jodhpur in a special charter plane on Thursday. The Jonas family reached India a few days ago and attended a pre-wedding function at Priyanka’s house in Mumbai. Salman Khan’s sister Arpita Khan arrived at Jodhpur airport along with her son Ahil on Friday morning.

The pre-wedding event will include a Haldi ceremony on Friday. A cocktail party has also been organized for the two families, relatives, and friends before the big day.

More than 200 guests from the film fraternity and Hollywood reached Jodhpur on Thursday. Guests including Chopra’s mother, Madhu Malti, and cousin Parineeti Chopra, along with Jonas’s brother Joe and his fiancee ‘Games of Thrones’ star Sophie Turner, Jonas’s parents Paul and Denise, Nick’s elder brother Kevin and sister-in-law Danielle reached in the morning.

Other B town celebrities including Designers Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla, choreographer Ganesh Hegde, VJ Anusha Dandekar along with her actor-boyfriend Karan Kundra were spotted at Jodhpur airport.

YouTube sensation Lily Singh aka Superwoman, Nick’s friend Chord Overstreet, groomsman Jonathan Tucker, PeeCee’s Quantico co-star Yasmine Al Massri are also in Jodhpur to attend the wedding of Priyanka and Nick, scheduled on December 2.

The security arrangements have been beefed up outside the Umaid Bhawan Palace in Jodhpur. Guests are receiving a royal and grand welcome at the palace.

The Umaid Bhawan Palace will be completely closed for general public for five days during this royal wedding for security reasons.

The couple will get hitched in a traditional Indian ceremony on December 2. Wedding ceremonies in a church will take place on Dec 3. The couple will host two lavish receptions for their families and friends, in Mumbai and Delhi. The Delhi reception will be on December 4 for Priyanka’s relatives.
