Online driving license registration process comes to a halt at Jaipur RTO and DTOs

Jaipur: Nearly 15000 applications for the online registration of driving licenses and motor vehicles at Jaipur regional transport office (RTO) and district transport offices (DTOs) in the city are stuck due to server-related problems. The problem has been persisting for the past one week and the officials have been unable to resolve it. Thousands of people are facing delays in getting driving licenses due to the glitch.
Applications are not being processed at Jhalana, Jagatpura and Vidhyadhar Nagar DTOs. The situation is more or less the same at Jaipur RTO.
The server services are being provided by National Informatics Center (NIC).
“We have facing the problem of server downtime since August 26. We have to process nearly 10,000 applications related to motor vehicle fitness, permits, licenses, registration and other works on a daily basis. Due to the server downtime, the work has almost come to an standstill,” said an RTO officer.
Employees are unable to upload documents on the website.
