Upcoming Jhalawar airport to be named after Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay

Many important decisions will likely be taken in the cabinet meeting to be organized on March 20. Going by the reports; it will be the last meeting of this cabinet.

Jaipur: Rajasthan cabinet meeting will take place on March 20. Many important decisions will likely be taken as going by the reports; it will be the last meeting of this cabinet of ministers. The reports of cabinet reshuffle are doing the rounds.

One of the decisions will be to name Jhalawar airport after Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay.

The Rajasthan government had received the final detailed proposal and report, for development of Jhalawar International Airport at an estimated cost of nearly Rs 169 crore earlier this year. The government is planning to make the airport functional by the end of this year.The airport will be able to cater to the largest aircraft Airbus 380.

The project will be completed in three phases. Rs 169 crore will be spent in the first phase. The airport is located in Kolana area of Jhalawar. It currently caters to small charters.

The final agenda of the cabinet meeting is yet to be finalized, but sources said that many land allotment cases will be discussed. The meeting of the council of ministers will also take place after the cabinet meeting.

A cabinet reshuffle is on the cards in Rajasthan. Rajasthan chief minister Vasundhara Raje met senior RSS office bearer to discuss the impending reshuffle on Friday and met senior BJP leaders in Delhi.

Raje went to the RSS headquarters in Japur – Bharati Bhawan  – and met RSS leaders Durgadas and Nimbaram. According to the sources, the cabinet reshuffle can happen by Sunday.
