Sohrabuddin Sheikh encounter case: CBI Court upholds acquittal of Rajasthan IPS officer Dinesh MN
Finding all the accused not guilty, the court in its order said there was no evidence of conspiracy against them. The court acquitted the 22 accused persons on Friday.

Jaipur: A CBI court in Mumbai on Friday upheld the acquittal of 22 accused persons including Rajasthan IPS officer Dinesh MN in Sohrabuddin Sheikh encounter case.
Finding all the accused not guilty, the court in its order said there was no evidence of conspiracy against them. The court acquitted the 22 accused persons on Friday.
The decision was taken under the bench of Special CBI Judge SJ Sharma.
The Rajasthan IPS officer Dinesh MN was acquitted in the Sohrabuddin Sheikh encounter case in February, 2018. The Mumbai CBI team appealed against the acquittal.
The IPS officer Dinesh MN has already spent seven years behind bars after CBI arrested him in the case. Dinesh MN was arrested in connection with the case in 2007. He was released on bail in May 2014.
The case was being heard in Mumbai after the Supreme Court ordered for the trial to be transferred out of Gujarat.
Rajasthan IPS Officer Dinesh MN is among the 17 IPS officers who were transferred by the state government on Thursday. He has been posted as IG Intelligence Jaipur. Prior to the transfer, he was posted as IG, Bikaner Range.
