RTO runs out of RJ – 14 numbers for cars, new RJ-45 series to be launched

Jaipur: Jaipur regional transport office (RTO) has finally run out of RJ-14 vehicle registration series for five-seater cars. The RTO has only 20,000 registration numbers from RJ-14 series left for vehicles from this segment. These registration numbers will be exhausted over the next four months. The series will be replaced by RJ-45 series for five-seater cars.
Nearly 80 of the vehicles sold in Rajasthan are five-seater cars. For these vehicles, the RTO is using RJ-14 series numbers with CX, CY and CZ. As only 20,000 registration numbers are left in these categories, a new series of RJ – 45 will be launched.
Twenty batches of RJ-45 series registration number will be issued to the RTO. There will be 9999 registration numbers in each batch. This series will also be exhausted with registration of nearly 2 lakh cars over the next three years.
Nearly 5000 vehicles are registered in the city every month.
