Passport office like queue-management system introduced in RTO offices in Jaipur
Last Updated:
Jaipur: The inconvenience faced in getting a driving license has been a major issue for people in the city. The RTO has recognized this and decided to address the issue by starting a queue-management system at is office in Jagatpura. As per the orders of the transport department, 5 different counters have been made to ensure work is distributed properly. People can use the appropriate counters for paying fees, filing documents etc. People will be given tokens and will have to visit the counters that display this number as per their turn.
This new facility was inaugurated by the department secretary Shailendra Agrawal. A trial last conducted last week was successful. The system has been developed by a private company. The token has to be returned to the counter upon competition of work. A queue management system is used to control queues. Here people form a queue in a fixed, predictable position, such as at supermarket checkouts, passport offices and other locations such as banks or airport security.
Online applicants will need to reach the office as per date and time allocated. They can collect the tokens from the token displaying machine. If the fees have already been paid by them they can go the counter number 3 else to the counter 2. For verification, they can visit counters 4 and 5. Once the formalities are completed the driving test can be given on the tracks. Counter number 1 will conduct the work related to license for motor driving schools.
