In the pre-board meeting on Wednesday, Parnami was at the receiving end of the BJP councilors also. The pre-board meeting of BJP councilors took place at hotel on Ajmer Road. In the meeting, BJP city president Sanjay Jain made several allegations against the mayor.
Similarly Congress councilors held a pre-board meeting that was presided over by Congress spokesperson Pratap Singh Khachariawas. In the meeting, the issue of misuse of funds was raised. Khachariawas alleged that Rs 2600 crore rupees granted to the civic bodies under the Smart City Project were wasted and there was a lot of corruption involved.
“If that much amount money had been spent on development works honestly, the city would have rejuvenated. But no development can be seen,” said Khachariawas.
