Jaipur International Film Festival (Aryan JIFF) 2019 from Jan 18 at Golcha and Gem Cinema

A total of 227 movies from 64 different countries will be screened during the five-day long film festival. JIFF has completed a decade of its journey and is all set to set a new record in 2019 by screening 227 films.

Jaipur: Jaipur will host the 11th edition of Jaipur International Film Festival (Aryan JIFF’ 19) at Golcha and Gems Cinema from January 18 to January 22, 2019. A total of 227 movies from 64 different countries will be screened during the five-day long film festival.

JIFF has completed a decade of its journey and is all set to set a new record in 2019 by screening 227 films. The films selected include 49 feature films, 129 short fiction films and Bollywood movies ‘Soorma’ and ‘Three Storeys’. The best movies will be awarded in different categories at the closing ceremony of the event on January 22.

Thirteen short films from Rajasthan have been selected for screening. A total of 232 movies have been selected for the festival, of which five films will not be screened but have been included in the competition.

According to the filmmakers from Rajasthan, JIFF has given Jaipur an identity at the international level and benefited the tourism sector by promoting the city’s art and culture. Filmmakers from Rajasthan get the opportunity to interact with the filmmakers from other countries at the festival.

A senior organizer of JIFF said that many filmmakers and actors from different parts of the globe will be a part of the five-day long film festival in Jaipur. Different movies will be screened form morning to night at Golcha and Gems cinema from January 18.

The Genre of the movies in JIFF includes feature films, documentary feature films, short documentaries, animation art movies, music Videos, mobile captured movies, web series, and others.

The Founder of Jaipur International Film Festival (JIFF) is Hanu Roj who has renamed the eleventh edition of the JIFF to ‘Aryan JIFF 2019’, in loving memory of his five-year-old son, who passed away in an accident a few weeks ago.
