Ruckus in Jaipur after attack on RU student leader Naresh Meena in Dausa
Naresh Meena had been referred to SMS Hospital in Jaipur. His supporters first created ruckus there and when they were forced out of the hospital premises, they blocked a road and hurled stones on low-floor buses.
Jaipur: A group of RU students and supporters created ruckus at SMS Hospital in Jaipur on Friday night after some unidentified men attacked former general secretary of Rajasthan University student union Naresh Meena near Parveeni village in Mandawar police station area of Dausa district.
Naresh Meena had been referred to SMS Hospital in Jaipur. His supporters first created ruckus there and when they were forced out of the hospital premises, they blocked a road and hurled stones on low-floor buses. Glasses of the vehicles were smashed. Police teams from Ashok Nagar and Gandhi Nagar police stations reached the spot and resorted to mild lathicharge to disperse the crowd.
Naresh Meena and his five friends were earlier injured in the attack in Parveeni village. Naresh Meena was in an SUV when over a dozen men came there and attacked him and his friends. Meena was first taken to a government hospital in Dausa. He was then referred to SMS Hospital.
When supporters of Naresh Meena got the information about attack on him, they reached SMS Hospital and started creating rucks. They shouted slogans and manhandled with security guards who forced them out.
An FIR has been registered with Mandawar police station in Dausa in connection with the attack.
