JAIPUR: Rajasthan University has been hit with another controversy as the issue of a Geography paper leak for the BA First Year exam emerges. The paper was scheduled to be conducted on Saturday at 11 am, but surfaced on a social media group at 10:45 am, prompting students to protest. The university administration has vowed to investigate the matter.

Rakesh Rao, Chief Controller of Examinations at Rajasthan University, claimed that the paper was conducted peacefully and that the leak allegations were baseless. “Unnecessary lies are being spread on social media by some anti-social elements. Till now, we have not received any information about a paper leak,” Rao said. He added that legal action would be taken if any evidence surfaced, and strict action would be taken against those found guilty.

Rao insisted that no student had complained about the leak and that further action would only be taken upon gathering factual information about the matter. “This clearly shows that some people are doing this kind of act to tarnish the image of the university. We will keep finding out the facts,” he said.

Satish Poonia, Assembly Deputy Leader of Opposition, criticized the situation, saying that law and order in Rajasthan had deteriorated. “Every recruitment exam paper is leaked. This negligence and collusion of the government is tarnishing the image of Rajasthan and shattering the dreams of lakhs of youth in the state,” Poonia said.
