3 virtual internships Jaipur youths must attend this summer

Jaipur: A rigorous internship moulds you better than a thousand classroom classes. COVID-19 has come as a much-needed boon for many students of Jaipur who often go out to find a job bereft of any experience.

The career advisors told The PinkCity Post that virtual internships offer once in a lifetime opportunity to learn great new skills from the comforts of your home. “The coronavirus has made many companies location agnostics, they are looking for a future where everyone works from home at a seamless pace,” said Priya Gurang, a career advisor.

Several of the city’s students are making a beeline to get summer internships to work at remote locations. Anchal Singh, a graduate of psychology, said that she was recently selected by a small firm based in Europe for research on developmental psychology.

The Pinkcity post spoke to several students to see how and where they are planning to get virtual internships.

AICTE partners with Cisco, and NASSCOM internships for cyber security

Currently every engineering student is vying to land this much coveted internship. The All-India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) has partnered with Cisco and NASSCOM to offer as many as 20,000 virtual internships on cyber security. This particular internship entails rigours training at different tools which you never get to learn in your college.

“This is a very new and fast emerging job market. CISCO is an industry giant in this field and any experience with it will help be a shot in the arm,” said Vikas Choudhary, an engineering student.

Machine Learning and Artificial intelligence  

Several Banglore based companies are inviting applications from students to get a chance to work with them for this exciting new field. The students who have successfully completed their internships may also get a chance for employment based on their performance.

Reporting and online media

The coronavirus took its major toll on the newspaper and media industry, however, after sailing through some difficult choppy waters, the industry is emerging from survival mode to thriving mode, inviting applications from interns to work as reporter, sub-editor etc. These internships will include working from home, filing stories from your laptop, editing stories under a strict deadline.
