RPSC postpones school lecturer exam dates; new dates to be announced soon

The exams were earlier scheduled from January 15 to January 23. The RPSC will release the new dates for the school lecturer exam soon.

Jaipur: The Rajasthan Service Public Commission (RPSC) has postponed school lecturer recruitment exam dates 2018 and 2019 till further notice, according to Rajasthan education minister Govind Singh Dotasra.

The exams were earlier scheduled from January 15 to January 23. The RPSC will release the new dates for the school lecturer exam soon.

Dotasra said that the decision to postpone the dates of the school lecturer recruitment exam taken keeping in view the demand of the candidates.

He wrote in his Facebook post, “The decision to adjourn the school lecturer recruitment exam dates was taken in a high-level committee meeting on Friday. The decision was taken considering the demands and connivance of the candidates. The Rajasthan Public Service Commission will soon announce the new dates for the exam.”

Several students staged a protest on Thursday and Friday in front of the Rajasthan University of Jaipur. They demanded to extend the school lecturer exam dates. Students staged a sit-in in front of the university’s gate throughout the night on Thursday and Friday.

According to the students, RPSC announced the dates for school lecturer exam as from January 15 to January 23. The RAS Mains exams are scheduled for January 28 and January 29. The two big exams are in the same month due to which several candidates were left in limbo.

More than lakhs of students have applied for both the exams and the exam dates in the same month is not right. The RPSC department should postpone one of these two exams for the convenience of candidates.
