Jaipur: It's now confirmed. Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC) will conduct the RAS 2018 exam on August 5. Newly appointed RPSC chairman Deepak Upreti
has decided not to postpone the exams after a meeting with senior RPSC officials. Deepak Upreti on Wednesday met additional chief secretary (ACS) Shailendra Agarwal and asked for his help in conducting the exam smoothly on time. He requested Agarwal to provide all the logistic support, so that nearly 5 lakh candidates who are likely to appear in the exam can travel hassle-free on the day of the exam.
RPSC may release RAS exam 2018 admit cards today. (We will update the story when the admit cards are released. Check back for more details).
RPSC on Wednesday issued a release confirming the RAS exam 2018 date:
RAS 2018 exam date
If the exam is conducted on August 5, it will come as good news for lakhs of Rajasthan Administration Service (RAS) aspirants who are expecting it to get postponed. However, they are concerned whether RPSC would be able to complete all the necessary preparations . Sources said senior IAS officer Deepak Upreti instructed the official to finish all the preparations and ensure that the RAS exam 2018 is conducted in a transparent manner.
It will be challenging for RPSC to conduct the exam as even the admit cards are yet to be issued. Three more exams will be conducted on the same day so there is lot of confusion among the aspirants related to the date.
Usually the board issues online admit cards 15 day prior to the exam but this time the exam is just 12 days away. There are more than 925 job vacancies and lakhs of people are planning to appear in the exam. Three more examinations are being held on August 5 including Delhi Subordinate Services Selection Board exams 2018, SBI Clerk postings Exam 2018 and Rajasthan Assistant Seed Certification (RSSOPCA ASCO) Exam 2018.
Many government employees have applied for RAS 2018 exam but they are not getting the day-off on August 5 as the permission will not get approved until the admit cards are shown. Departments give permission only on the basis of Admit Cards rather on the notification of RPSC.
