Rajasthan Youth Icon Award: All you need to know

The award will be given to youths who perform exceptionally in various fields related to arts and culture, media, and social services.

Jaipur: For the purpose of encouraging social service and excellence in various fields among youths, the Rajasthan government has announced that it would introduce Rajasthan Youth Icon Awards.

The award will be given to youths who perform exceptionally in various fields related to arts and culture, media, and social services.

Rajasthan Youth Icon Awards are part of Youth Icon Policy announced by Rajasthan chief minister Vasundhara Raje in her last budget speech.

Rajasthan Youth Icon Awards eligibility

To be eligible, the candidate should be aged between 15 years and 29 years.

Fields for Rajasthan Youth Icon Awards

Youths working in different sectors will be selected for the awards. The award aims at encouraging youths to innovate and take on challenges in the interest of the society. The awards will be given in the following fields:

  • Arts
  • Media,
  • Academics
  • Design
  • Entrepreneurship
  • Innovation
  • Environment protection
  • Agriculture
  • Woman empowerment
  • And, Sanitation

How to apply and registration

The Rajasthan government will introduce the awards within the next one week. Youths working individually in the interest of society can apply for a Rajasthan Youth Icon Award. Click on the following link to apply online for the award:

Rajasthan Youth Icon Awards registration will be available from June 30.

Selection process

An independent jury will be selected to choose the candidates who apply for the award. The jury members will look at the applicant’s performance in their chosen sector over the past three years. The performance will be reviewed by the jury members. They will also assess the impact of the applicant’s work on the society and its contribution. Those who receive the award will get cash prices, certificates and medals.

Chief minister Raje had declared Kamlesh Nagarkoti as the first winner of the award during her last budget speech.
