Now, apply for Rajasthan government’s Youth Icon Awards by August 15

Jaipur:  Rajasthan Youth Board has fixed August 15 as the last date for accepting applications for Youth Icon Awards.

Board chairman, Bhupendra Saini said that the decision has been taken to extend the last date of application to August 15 since the award was introduced this year and not many eligible youths are yet aware of it.

The board’s objective is to inspire young people to do outstanding work in various fields. Youths who excel in the fields of arts and culture, sports, media, fashion designing, academic, agriculture, environment, entrepreneurship, women’s empowerment and sanitation will be eligible for this award.

Youth icons will be selected at the state level. The award distribution function is scheduled to be held in September.

For the selection process, an independent jury will be selected to choose the candidates applying for the award. The jury members will look at the applicant’s performance in their chosen sector over the past three years. The performance will be reviewed by the jury members. They will also assess the impact of the applicant’s work on the society and its contribution. Those who receive the award will get cash prices, certificates and medals.
