Rajasthan: BJP leaders meet in Delhi to discuss list of candidates

The core committee meeting of the BJP is being held at Prakash Javadekar’s residence in Delhi. Rajasthan chief minister Vasundhara Raje reached Delhi on Wednesday morning to attend the meeting.

Jaipur: The core committee of the BJP is conducting a meeting at Delhi to discuss the panel of candidates for the party’s second for the upcoming Rajasthan assembly elections 2018.

The core committee meeting of the BJP is being held at Prakash Javadekar’s residence in Delhi. Rajasthan chief minister Vasundhara Raje reached Delhi on Wednesday morning to attend the meeting. Several ministers are present in the meeting to decide the names of the rest of the 69 candidates.

Those attending the meeting include Ashok Parnami and Madan Lal Saini. Yunus Khan, Kalicharan Saraaf, Rajpal Singh Shekhawat and others were not there in the first list of 131 candidates, which was released by BJP on Sunday.

As per the sources, the second list will be out in couple of days. There are total 200 assembly seats in Rajasthan. The names of 131 candidates were released in the first list.

The meeting held to decide on the names of the candidates for the first list was attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Rajnath Singh, Finance Minister Arun Jaitley External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj and all other members of BJP CEC.

The Congress party is yet to come out with their first list of 150 candidates for the Rajasthan polls, which are scheduled on December 7. The counting of votes will take place on December 11.
