Jaipur: Even two days after a 22-year-old girl student of a private college in Vidhyadhar Nagar was stabbed with a sharp-edged object near Biyani, the police have got no clues about the attacker. The brother of the victim who reached Jaipur from Nasirabad in Ajmer late on Tuesday alleged that while his sister was lying in a pool of blood, the onlookers were busying clicking photographs with their mobile phones, instead of getting her medical help.

“Only two people in the crowd were concerned enough to rush her to a hospital,” the brother alleged, saying that it was due to these two good Samaritans that her sister could get medical attention on time.

“My sister had called him up after the stabbing incident. I and other family members immediately rushed to Jaipur. She was unconscious when we reached the hospital. When she gained consciousness in the morning, she told us about the whole incident,” the brother said.

The brother said that they had no idea why the girl was attacked.

“We don’t have enmity with anyone. My sister is final year MBA student at the private college in Vidhyadhar Nagar. Her exam is in May. There was a farewell party at the college on Tuesday. She streamed the party live for our parents using her cellphone,” said the brother.

The police are however clueless about the attacker. They have obtained footages of several CCTVs installed at several places in the area.

The girl, identified as Deepshikha, was walking to a park along with her friend when a biker suddenly showed up, attacked her on Tuesday night.

The girl is a resident of Nasirabad town in Ajmer district and studies at a private college in Vidhyadhar Nagar. She stays in a paying guest accommodation near  her college, according to the police. The police have lodged an FIR and launched a search for the accused on the basis of statement given by the victim’s friend. They put up barricades and tried to find the bike.
