Jaipur: A 22-year-old girl student of a private college in Vidhyadhar Nagar was stabbed with a sharp-edged object near Biyani College on Tuesday night. The girl, identified as Deepshikha, was walking to a park along with her friend when a biker suddenly showed up, attacked her. The girl is pursuing MBA, according to reports.
The girl was seriously injured in the attack. On hearing cries for help from her friend, nearby residents rushed her to a hospital where she is undergoing treatment. They also informed the police.
The girl is a resident of Nasirabad town in Ajmer district and studies at a private college in Vidhyadhar Nagar. She stays in a paying guest accommodation near her college, according to the police. The police have lodged an FIR and launched a search for the accused on the basis of statement given by the victim’s friend. They put up barricades and tried to find the bike.
The girl was crossing the road to reach the park when the biker came there and attacked her.
The girl’s friend has given a description of the man’s appearance. On the basis of her statement, the police are preparing a sketch. They are also studying the footages from CCTVs installed in the area.
