First flight from Udaipur to Bangalore takes off

Jaipur: First flight from Udaipur to Bangalore took off from Dabok Airport at 6 pm on Thursday. There were 128 passengers in the flight operated by Indigo on the first day.
Tour and travel experts said that the flight will play an important role in increasing connectivity of Udaipur with South India. It will also boost tourism in the City of Lakes.
Flyers had to use connecting flights to travel between Udaipur and Bangalore. It took them nearly 5-6 hours, but now it would be possible for people to reach travel between the two destinations within 2.20 hours.
The flight will be more cost effective option as the flight ticket rate is up to Rs 5,000. Earlier travelers had to pay up to Rs 10,000.
The first flight from Bangalore reached Udaipur at 5.30pm. The flight didn’t have any vacancies.
SpiceJet is also launching its first flight to Bangalore from Udaipur on November 7. Flights to two other destinations – Surat and Varanasi – will start from November 30.
