Jaipur: The action for the 12th edition of Indian Premier League (IPL) 2019 will be held at JW Marriott in Jaipur on Tuesday. The event will start at 2:30 pm, in which a total of 346 cricketers have been listed for the auction. Of them, 227 are Indian players. The IPL franchisees will spend around Rs 146 crores in the auction. Star players like Glenn Maxwell and Aaron Finch have kept themselves away from the auction, while Sam Curran has listed himself for the auction. Many new cricketers including 50 national and 20 international cricketers will join IPL franchisees this time. The auction will involve 118 capped and 228 uncapped players. The IPL franchises will place biddings on players according to their team’s strategy and the kind of specialized players they need. The IPL auction is being conducted in Jaipur for the first time. Many sports personalities will be in Jaipur on Tuesday to attend the auction. The base price of cricketers for the auction is Rs 2 crore, as per sources. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has changed the timings of the auction and made it a day-night affair. It will get the primetime viewership on the television. The final list of players for the next season of Indian Premier League (IPL) 2019 was circulated to the designators in the first week of December.
