5 Rajasthan University (RU) exams cancelled over paper leak

Dates for re-conducting the exams are yet to be announced.

Paper leak: New dates for cancelled Rajasthan University (RU) exams announced

Jaipur: Rajasthan University (RU) has cancelled five examinations conducted earlier this month after special operations group (SOG) busted a racket of RU professors and college lecturers involved in paper leaks. The arrested people had leaked these papers.

Following is the list of cancelled examination:

  • BA Part – 3 Geography First (April 10)
  • MA (final) Geography of water resources, their management and utility (April 11)
  • BA part – 3 geography second (April 12)
  • MCom (previous) SBST (advance cost accounting) (April 13)
  • MA (final) Advance Geography of India (April 17)

RU has not announced the new dates for re-conducting these examinations.

The cancellation of examination papers will cause delay in results.  As the RU will reconduct all leaked examination, results will be delayed.

“We are yet to announce the new dates for examination that have been cancelled,” said a RU officer.

The news that exams were cancelled came as a shock to thousands of RU students.

The vice-chancellor cancelled these examinations after receiving a report from examination planning and monitoring committee

SOG interrogated RU exam controller Dr BL Gupta after arresting his personal assistant and an associate professor on Friday. A total of 17 people have been arrested so far in connection with paper leak cases.
