XEn, AEn among 3 killed in road accident in Nagaur

The deceased were identified as XEn Ramveer Sharma, a resident of Jaipur, AEN Rajendra Siyag and Bolero driver Tejaram. Those who were injured include Zila Parishad member AEn Ramratan Didwal and two others – Shankar Lal Godara and Godara’s wife.

Jaipur: At least three people including an executive engineer (XEn)  and an assistant engineer (AEn) were killed, while three others were injured when the Bolero they were travelling in collided with a mini truck on National Highway – 89 near Baran Village in Nagaur district on Tuesday. Three others were critically injured were rushed to a hospital in Jodhpur.

The deceased were identified as XEn Ramveer Sharma, a resident of Jaipur, AEN Rajendra Siyag and Bolero driver Tejaram. Those who were injured include Zila Parishad member AEn Ramratan Didwal and two others – Shankar Lal Godara and Godara’s wife.

The collision that happed on Nagaur-Bikaner National Highway was so intense that the Bolero was completely damaged.

Ramveer Sharma and Rajendra died on the spot. The injured were first rushed to a hospital in Nagaur from where they were referred to a Jodhpur hospital due to their critical condition.

The bodies of the deceased officials were handed over to family members after a post-mortem examination.

The victims were on their way to Sarethan village in Nagaur district where the fourth phase of Chief Minister Jal Swawlamban Yojana was to be kicked off. They were going there to look into the preparations for the event.

“The collision happened when the mini-truck driver rammed into the Bolero when overtaking,” said a police officer.
