JAIPUR: Jaipur Wax Museum is set to install a wax statue of Indian cricketer Virat Kohli on World Heritage Day, April 18. The museum has released the first look of the statue, which has been created by artists Ganesh and Lakshmi under the creative direction of Anoop Srivastava.

The statue weighs 35 kg and stands at 5 feet 9 inches tall, showcasing Virat’s aggressive attitude and pose. The clothes have been designed by Bollywood designer Bodh Singh. The installation is part of the museum’s vision to feature not only celebrities but also great people who can inspire future generations.

According to Anup Srivastava, Founder Director of Jaipur Wax Museum, “We have always had a clear decision regarding statue selection that more than celebrities, great people should be given place in the museum, who can inspire our future generations.” He added that small children and youth are crazy about Virat Kohli and his image as an aggressive cricketer on the field has made him a sports icon for them.

The Jaipur Wax Museum is built in an almost 300-year-old fort and features a total of 44 wax statues so far. Each effigy is installed with a specially made set and includes hand-made paintings, special objects associated with the effigy, an exclusive photo wall, and a special fragrance. The museum attracts tourists from all over India and beyond who come to get their photos taken with their favorite stars’ wax statues.
