Udaipur duo’s start up idea bags the best idea award by IIM-U

Indian Institute of Management Udaipur organized a Cohort incubation program—Launch and Zoom, 2018. ‘Truck online booking’ start up idea of Ruchi Agarwal and Amit Agarwal selected as the best start up idea.

Jaipur: The Indian Institute of Management Udaipur (IIM-U) declared the startup idea of Ruchi Agarwal and Amit Agarwal as the best start-up idea of 2018 in their ‘Launch and Zoom Cohort Program’. The duo belonging to Udaipur is developing a feature ‘truck online booking’.

The startup idea of the Udaipur’s team ‘Tempo and truck startup’ was selected for the top position followed by two other ideas at IIMU. Ruchi and Amit’s team prepared a feature of booking pickup vehicles like tempo trolley and trucks online, just like cabs on Android.

The top three selected startup ideas will get a huge grant from IIMU for development.

Indian Institute of Management Udaipur organized a Cohort incubation program—Launch n Zoom, 2018 and invited all aspiring founders and entrepreneurs from all over India to participate in it.
The team at IIMU analyzed 110 startup ideas received by the participants and selected top 18 ideas out of them for the Launch and Zoom program.

A total of 26 participants including six women were selected by IIMU for their startup ideas. The incubation center of IIMU conducted a 12-day long training program for them in which the participants learned about the skills to help their business idea take off. They received quality mentorship from Industry Practitioners along with real-world and relevant experience.

The training program had an intensive 52-week business mentoring, technology connect, prototype development and venture building continuum for startups.

The 18 teams including 26 participants pitched their startup ideas on the last day of the training. The IIMU officials then selected top 3 best startup ideas out of 18.

Ruchi Agarwal and Amit Agarwal of Udaipur were selected at number one position for their startup idea of ‘truck online booking’ followed by Shubradeep Nand and Prasanna Padbhamaan on second and Saleem Penangwala and Jubber Penangwala on third.

The incubation center of IIMU will further provide six-month training to 18 selected startups by providing them with office space, internet, technology and expertise of field practitioners.
