Tragic accident in Harmara: Car loses control, 2 dead

Jaipur: A car hit a pedestrian after the driver lost control and then rammed into a truck on NH 52 near Todi Mod in Harmara on Monday. The pedestrian and the car driver were killed. Another man who was sitting in the car was critically injured. He is undergoing treatment.

The accident was so intense that the car was badly damaged after hitting the truck. The police towed away the vehicle to clear the road blockage. The deceased victims were yet to be identified. Their bodies have been put in the mortuary of the hospital for a post-mortem examination.

The car was allegedly overspeeding. According to the preliminary reports,  the car first hit a pedestrian near Todi Mod and then rammed into a truck. The pedestrian died on the spot, while the car driver succumbed to injuries at a hospital.

After getting information from the passers-by, a police team from Harmada police station arrived at the spot and rushed the victim to hospital for treatment.

The car has been sized. The police are trying to identify the driver on the basis of the car’s registration number. Further investigation is going on.
