JAIPUR: Due to the visit of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and France President Emmanuel Macron, tourists will not be able to visit Amer Fort on Thursday.
The entry has been banned for security reasons. Tourists arriving in Jaipur from Place on Wheels will be taken to other places like Hathi Gaon and Lion Safari instead.
However, they may face traffic congestion and have to pass through strict security arrangements to reach these destinations. French President Macron will also visit Jantar Mantar. This means it will be difficult for tourists to visit all the tourist places within the Walled City.
On Wednesday, commuters faced complete traffic congestion between 4 PM and 8 AM due to a police rehearsal conducted by the administration. All roads leading to the Walled City and JLN Marg were closed during the rehearsal.
The French president is scheduled to arrive in Jaipur at 2 PM via JLN Marg, New Gate, and Tripolia gate before Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s arrival.
They will then proceed to Amer Fort followed by a visit to Jantar Mantar. Both leaders will meet at Jantar Mantar before going Hawa Mahal together. Finally, they will participate in a roadshow starting from Sangani Gate.
