Three students in custody for bomb hoax at Subodh Public School

Jaipur: A call from an unidentified man kept the police department on toes in Jaipur on Tuesday. The man called up the police control room and claimed that a bomb had been placed at Mansarovar Metro Station and it will go off soon. It was later declared a hoax. A similar case happened in Subodh Public School situated near Sanganer airport on Monday. The three students are in custody.

Jaipur police along with bomb disposal team, fire tenders, ATS and dog squad reached the spot and searched the metro station for hours but in vain. Nothing was found and the team declared the call a hoax.

The agencies are trying to track the number from which the fake information was received. Police said that an FIR would be lodged and the culprit would be brought to the book.

The similar case happened at private school located at Sanganer on Monday.

According to the police, three mischievous students called up Subodh Public School’s landline number and said that they are speaking from Pakistan and a bomb has been planted in the school’s library.

The school principal informed the police control room following which the entire school was evacuated and the bomb disposal team and dog squad reached the spot. Nothing was found.

Police traced the number of the three accused students and took them into custody on Tuesday.

Further investigation is going on.
