Theatre artist commits suicide, body donated by family members
The police recovered a suicide note in which he stated that he was depressed over loneliness, lack of employment and prolonged illness. He expressed his wish that his body should be donated.

Jaipur: 54-year-old theatre artist Avashthama JD alias Sanju committed suicide by hanging himself from the ceiling of a paying guest room in Sodala area on Saturday night.
The police recovered a suicide note in which he stated that he was depressed over loneliness, lack of employment and prolonged illness. He expressed his wish that his body should be donated.
Sanju was a resident of Ramganj area in Ajmer and lived in a paying guest facility in Ved Vatika in Jaipur.
“We got the information about 10 pm on Saturday that Sanju had hanged himself. A police team was rushed to the spot. His body was taken to a hospital for a post-mortem examination. We informed his sister who lives in Hathroi,” said a police officer.
The family members told the police that Sanju was unmarried and had come to live in Jaipur.
His play ‘Ek Katra Khoon’ received accolades across the world. He performed in the play in several counties.
“In his suicide note, he had expressed his wish that his body should be donated. The family members have donated his body respecting his wish,” said the officer.
