‘Thai girl arrested in Kota spa center sex racket case diagnosed with AIDS’

Kota spa center - Sondaryam - where sex racket was busted.
Jaipur: One of the Thai girls arrested after raids at a spa center in Kota was diagnosed with HIV. Another girl was found pregnant. The jail administration has arranged for her counseling and said that a treatment schedule has been planned for her.
The police had last week raided Sondaryam Spa Center in Cetnral Square Mall in Kota and arrested 10 girls and seven youths. Many of the girls were from Thailand.
Sources said that the jail administration had some tests including urine pregnancy test (UPT) performed on the girls. One of them was 10 weeks pregnant and on further examination, another girl was found infected with HIV.
The information has shocked the police and jail administration. The possibility that the men who came in contact with her might also have been infected with the virus is not being ruled out.
The health department wants medical examination of these people. Nobody wants to come on record with the facts related to HIV infection.
Meanwhile, a court in Kota turned down bail application submitted by the main accused, Rajesh Madhwani who owed Sondaryam Spa Center. His wife was also arrested for running a branch of the spa center at a different place.
The gang used to bring girls from Thailand and allegedly send them to customers after getting ‘orders’ on the spa’s website and a mobile app.
The spa center owner Rajesh Madhwani allegedly had contacts with some people in Mumbai, Kolkata and Delhi who used to provide him girls from Thailand and other counties, police officials said.
The price per hour for ‘spa services’ ranged from Rs 1500 to Rs 7,000.
The police are probing whether a network of spa centers was being run as the girls working at Sondaryam used to change frequently.
The spa center had a website with photographs of rooms. There was a rate list. A police team searched the spa center premises and collected records.
The police are checking Facebook, WhatsApp and other social media accounts of the accused men to ascertain how the prostitution racket was being run online.
