Tension in Sikar as mob sets bus on fire after a minor accident
Police used tear gas to disperse the crowd, a policeman injured in stone pelting.

Jaipur: People went on a rampage in Sikar town of Rajasthan following a minor accident. A youth was injured when the bike he was riding on was hit by a Rajasthan roadways bus. Accusing the driver of driving under the influence of alcohol, a mob set the bus on fire and hurled stones on the police when they tried to control the situation.
The police had to use tear gas to disperse the mob, but people kept hurling stones from the rooftop of houses in many nearby colonies. Heavy police force has been deployed in Sikar to restore law and order.
The mishap occurred on Fatehpur Road. One Mohammed Yusuf, a resident of Ward Number – 10 in Sikar was injured when the bus hit his bike. The youth was seriously injured.
A crowed gathered at the accident spot. Policemen from nearby police outpost rushed there amid reports that people had smashed the glass windows of the bus. On seeing the cops, people set the bus on fire.
The mob got hold of the bus driver and started thrashing him. When the policemen tried to rescue him, people manhandled them also.
When police used tear gas, people rushed into nearby streets and hurled stones from there. A policeman, identified as Shivraj Singh, sustained head injuries in the stone pelting.
