T Ravikant is a 1998-batch IAS officer who has held many important positions in the Rajasthan government. He was Department of Personnel (DoP) secretary before being transferred as JDC.

Jaipur: IAS officer T Ravikant has been appointed as the new Jaipur development commissioner (JDC). Ravikant is replacing Vaibhav Galriya. T Ravikant is a 1998-batch IAS officer who has held many important positions in the Rajasthan government. He was Department of Personnel (DoP) secretary before being transferred as JDC.
He had also been divisional commissioner in Jaipur. He was earlier posted as medical and health secretary, labour, employment and skill secretary, commercial taxes commissioner and chief minister secretary.
He had also been district collector and magistrate in Jaipur, Kota, Jhunjhunu, Bharatpur, Hanumangarh and Banswara.
Vaibhav Galriya who was appointed JDC in November 2016 has overseen many big projects of the previous BJP government. The work on Dravyavati River Project and Ring Road Project was progressing under his supervision.
T Ravikant will likely take charge on Tuesday. T Ravikant belongs to Andhra Pradesh.
