SOG arrests IT manager in Railway Recruitment Board Exam 2018 paper leak case

The accused Gaurav is an IT manager at the company which conducted the exam at Arya College.

Jaipur: Rajasthan special operations group (SOG) on Friday arrested one Gaurav Singhal for allegedly leaking the answer key of Railway Recruitment Board Examination 2018 at Arya College of Engineering and Technology at Kukus in Jaipur.

The accused Gaurav is an IT manager at the company which conducted the exam at Arya College. The exams started on September 17 and will continue till December 15.

The accused Gaurav Singhal is posted in Jodhpur. He was sent by the company to conduct the Railway Board Examination in Arya College.

Another accused Sateesh Sharma, who was found with answer keys at the exam has already been arrested by the police. He is a resident of Karuali.

Gaurav Singhal had allegedly leaked the answer key to Sateesh Sharma’s relative Umashankar Sharma.

When the questions matched, the duo was booked under section 420, 120 B of IPC and various sections of the IT Act. SOG reportedly recovered evidence from Sateesh and Gaurav’s mobile phones.

SOG produced the accused Gaurav Singhal before a court on Friday that sent him to judicial custody.

According to SOG official, an employee of the company, Amit Swami, was caught with answer keys on October 24 at Arya College. Amit revealed during interrogation that he got the answer key from Ajay Sharma.

Police arrested Ajay Sharma and his brother Sateesh Sharma.

Sateesh allegedly got the answer key from IT manager of the company Gaurav Singhal.
