Sikar: 2 die, 5 others injured in accident on NH – 52

Jaipur: Two men, identified as Satish Rao and Vivek Bijarania, were killed, while three others were injured when the cars they were travelling collided head-on on National Highway (NH) – 58 in Sikar district late on Sunday. Those injured are members of a family including doctor Kapil Choudhary, a resident of Srimadhopur, his wife Suman Choudhary and their six-year-old son Prateek.

The road accident occurred near Bhadala Ki Dhani Bypass Tiraha around midnight. The collision was so intense that both the cars were severely damaged. The two victims were residents of Palsana area.

“In one car there were four people including Satish and Vivek. Both were killed on the spot. Two others were injured. In the other car, three were three people including a child. All the victims were rushed to a hospital in Palsana. Satish and Vivek were declared brought dead, while five other injured were referred to a hospital in Sikar due to their serious condition,” said a police officer.

Some passers-by informed the police about the accident following which a team was rushed there. The collision was so intense that the victims got stuck in the two cars. The police somehow managed to rescue them, but Satish and Vivek had died by then.

The police have launched an investigation as to what caused the mishap.
