JAIPUR: Fourteen trainee sub-inspectors who were arrested in connection with the SI paper leak case were presented in a court in Jaipur on Tuesday. The court remanded them in police custody for further interrogation for 6 days. The SOG team had requested 9 days remand, but the court granted only 6 days.

The case pertains to the leak of the Police Sub Inspector Recruitment Exam-2021 papers, which was investigated by the Special Operation Group (SOG). The investigation revealed that the papers were leaked from Ravindra Bal Bharti Senior Secondary School, Shanti Nagar Hasanpura, Jaipur.

The SOG team first presented the female SI in court and then brought in the male SIs. The mother of SI Chanchal Vishnoi was present in court with her 3-month-old granddaughter. The accused were arrested from various locations, including Rajasthan Police Academy (RPA), Kishangarh Training Center, Bhinmal, and Gudhamalani.

During interrogation, Jagdish Vishnoi, who was caught by SOG on February 29 as part of their investigation into the JEN recruitment paper leak case allegedly revealed that papers were provided to many candidates in SI Recruitment 2021 too.

Upon further investigation by SOG Jaipur, a Sub-Inspector (SI) undergoing training at RPA was found suspicious and his documents were scrutinized leading to his arrest.

The FSL team took samples of signatures and handwriting of all arrested SIs during this period tight security arrangements were made inside & outside the Court premises due to a fight between male & female SI that happened during the last hearing which led them to present each other separately today.

A large number of policemen and lawyers were present at the premises during the appearance. Among those arrested is Karanpal Godara, son of Nagaur Deputy SP Omprakash Godara. Om Prakash has been on leave since his son’s arrest.
