Shooting in Chandpole caught on CCTV; Man shot

The victim is undergoing treatment and stated the names of the five accused shooters. Police have not able to arrest the accused even after three days of the incident.

Jaipur: A man identified as Akbar Ali was shot by five assailants near Chandpole on Monday. The CCTV footages surfaced on Wednesday following which the cops swung into action. The video shows five men coming in a Scorpio and shooting Akbar in full public view. The victim is undergoing treatment and stated the names of the five accused shooters. Police have not able to arrest the accused even after three days of the incident.

The accused are Munna Talwaar, Shafeek, Ikram, Ballu Luhar and Bablu Ganjya, residents of Haaji Colony in Jaipur.

According to SHO Jitendra Gangwani, the victim Akbar Ali was outside a hotel near Chandpole market on Monday night. Munna with his four accomplices came in a Scorpio and shot Akbar in full public view. The accused managed to flee from the spot. Locals rushed Akbar to a nearby hospital and informed police about the incident.

Akbar’s life was saved as he was brought to the hospital on time. Police recorded his statement after he gained consciousness. The cops have launched a search for the five accused identified by Akbar.

As per Akbar’s statements, Munna and Akbar’s friend Ameen had some money disputes for last two months. Munna attacked Akbar as he was Ameen’s friend.

Police DCP Satyendra Singh formed five teams of police officials for further investigation.
