Jaipur: An identification parade will be conducted at Jaipur Central Jail on Wednesday to make the case against habitual sex offender Sikandar alias Jeevanu – who was arrested for raping a 7-year-old girl in Shastri Nagar area of Jaipur – airtight. Two rape victims – including the 7-year-old girl – will try to identify Sikandar as the man who abducted and raped them. The accused man is currently in judicial custody.

The police are trying to wrap up the investigation in the case quickly and submit a chargesheet against him in the court within the next 10 days.

“We want the trial to be begin as soon as possible so that the victims can get justice quickly. We are completing our investigation without compromising with the evidence. The statements of the witnesses are being recorded,” said a police officer.

 The suspect had been produced in the court masked.

“We are investigating the case under the Case Officer Scheme. An Add SP level officer will supervise the trial progress and make sure that all the evidence and witnesses are produced in a timely manner,” said the officer.

It is suspected that Sikandar had sexually abused nearly 65 people including 25 children and 40 men and eunuchs. He is a habitual sexual offender imprisoned for life in a 2014 murder and rape case.
