Schools in Jaipur to reopen from Jan 13

Jaipur: Jaipur district collector issued an order on Sunday asking the schools to resume studies for the children of classes up to eighth standard. The parents were hoping that the leaves declared due to cold wave will be extended till at least Makar Sankranti, but got messages from the schools that the classes would resume from Monday.

As per the orders issued by the district collector Jogaram the studies will resume for thel students of classes up to eighth standard in all the government and private schools from January 13.

The school timing will remain as is – from 9 am for the students of all the classes up to 12th standard.

A senior district administration officer said that a meeting was held with the met and education department officers. According to the weather predications, the temperature will rise over the next 2-3 days, so the schools should start classes for children.

The district administration had declared leaves on January 9, 10 and 11 due to cold weather conditions. It was a Sunday on January 12.

The parents that they were expecting the leaves to be extended further, till at least Makar Sankranti.
