Record vaccination in Jaipur in a day; Over 1.35 lakh people get jabs

Jaipur: While there has been a significant drop in Covid-19 cases over the past few days, the city has achieved yet another milestone. As many as 1.36 lakh people were vaccinated in a day in the state capital. This set the record for the highest number of vaccinations in a day.

Rajasthan medical and health Minister Dr. Raghu Sharma congratulated the medical workers for the record corona vaccination in Jaipur and the state on Friday. He has called upon all the medical workers to carry forward this zeal and spirit of discharging their responsibilities.

Sharma said that on Friday, nearly 4.84 lakh persons were administered the first dose of Covid-19 vaccination and 14,334 persons were administered the second dose. A total of 4.96 lakh people were vaccinated in a single day in the state.

Dr. Sharma said that 1.91 crore people have got Covid-19 jabs so far. Of them, 1.57 crore have been given the first dose, and while 34.60 lakh have been given the second dose.

Dr. Sharma informed that on Friday, unprecedented vaccination work of corona was done in Jaipur district as the vaccine was administered to 1.35 lakh people. This is probably the highest single-day vaccination in the country so far. He congratulated Chief Medical and Health Officer Dr. Narottam Sharma and his team for this remarkable record.

Jaipur reported only 55 Covid-19 cases on Saturday, the lowest since the second wave hit the state.
