JAIPUR: Jaipur, the vibrant capital city of Rajasthan, has experienced a surge in tourism this year. With a staggering footfall of 64,18,000 tourists, it has become an unparalleled tourist hotspot.

Among the myriad attractions that Jaipur boasts, one particular gem shines the brightest. Amir Fort welcomed an astounding number of visitors with approximately 20,00,00 tourists exploring its majestic walls and rich history.

The second most sought-after destination was Jantar Mantar. This astronomical marvel witnessed a significant influx of around 12,74,000 enthusiastic sightseers.

Nahargarh and Albert Hall also held their own as crowd-pullers with an impressive count of 10,99,000 and 9,54,000 visitors respectively.

Hawa Mahal drew in approximately 1,77,000 curious travelers while Jaipur Zoo attracted the attention of around 3,48,000 people. Nahargarh Biological Park proved to be another popular choice among nature enthusiasts with nearly 3,93,000 individuals exploring its diverse flora and fauna.

In addition to these destinations were Jhalana Leopard Safari which captivated about 46,400 adventure seekers. Amagarh saw a modest influx with around 11,300 visitors while Hatigaon delighted approximately 88,000 safari-goers.

However, the tourist industry insiders have expressed concerns regarding certain challenges faced by tourists visiting specific sites within Jaipur.

The roads leading to Amir Fort and Nahargarh Fort have been reported as being in poor condition due to inadequate public transport facilities, resulting in frequent traffic congestion. This poses difficulties for tourists trying to reach their desired destinations on time. The lack of proper sanitation facilities leaves a bad impression on visitors. Vendors near Jaipur zoo and Albert Hall create hindrances for tourists’ convenience.

Despite these issues, Japiur’s heritage destinations continue to enchant visitors from all over the world. The local authorities must take immediate action to address these concerns and ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience for tourists visiting this culturally-rich city, the guides said.
