Raju Theth murder: Raju Manju of 007 gang in Jodhpur arrested
Manju and his two associates were arrested from Jambheshwar Nagar in Lohawat.
JAIPUR: Jodhpur police has arrested known criminal Raju Manju who heads the 007 gang in the region after his name cropped up in the investigation into the murder of gangster Raju Theth.
Raju Theth had been shot dead on December 3. Recently, the police arrested one Shakti Singh in connection with the murder. Singh was the 24th suspect in the case. It came up during his interrogation that the weapons used in the murder of Raju Theth had been supplied to th 007 gang.
On Friday night, the Jodhpur Rural Police conducted an operation that resulted in the arrest of Raju Manju. Preliminary investigations revealed that this gang had received the weapons used to murder Raju Theth.
Acting on this information, the Jodhpur rural police apprehended gang leader Raju Manju and his two associates from Jambheshwar Nagar in Lohawat. Raju Manju had been on the run for a while due to his involvement in smuggling and weapons trade.
Jodhpur Rural SP Dharmendra Singh Yadav stated that Raju Manju and Rajesh Sihag had been fugitives for some time, and they were on the district’s most-wanted list with a reward of Rs 5,000 each on their heads.
Raju Manju also operates a Gaushala in Jambheshwar Nagar. The police received information on Friday evening that he was in the area, and a team was dispatched to apprehend him. When Manju saw the police, he and his partner Rajesh Sihag abandoned their bike and fled. The police pursued the accused for approximately 2 kilometers through sand dunes before apprehending them.
