Rajasthan’s Jaisalmer named one of the world’s top 10 cities for hospitality

JAIPUR: Jaisalmer, a city in Rajasthan known for its desert landscapes and sandy shores, has been recognized as one of the top 10 cities in the world for its hospitality. The recognition comes from Booking.com, a leading international tour and travel company, which announced the Traveler Review Awards for 2024.

Based on positive reviews from travelers worldwide, Jaisalmer ranked 9th among the top 10 cities selected by Booking.com. The city is celebrated for its royal welcome, which includes applying tilak and kumkum to guests and singing traditional Rajasthani folk songs.

Local residents and tourism businesses are thrilled about Jaisalmer’s inclusion in the list, which has once again brought fame to the city both nationally and internationally. Booking.com praised Jaisalmer’s historical places, further highlighting its rich cultural heritage.

The other cities that made it to the top 10 list include Areal d’Ajuda (Brazil), Ermepouli (Greece), Viana do Castello (Portugal), Daylesford (Australia), Grindelwald (Switzerland), Moab (USA), Uz (France), Mazatlan (Mexico), Fujikawaguchiko (Japan).
