Jaipur: Twenty-six year old Nisha Negi was among the two people killed in a tragic accident on Pali-Jodhpur Bypass in Pali district on Saturday night. Three others including two from Jaipur were injured. They are undergoing treatment at different hospitals in Jodhpur. The mishap occurred after the car in which the victims were travelling hit a road divider and overturned. The police said that the youths were probably friends and had come to the area for a picnic. Further investigation is going on.

Those killed were identified by the police as Nisha Negi, a native of Chandpole area in Jaipur and Tarun Bansal who belonged to Hanumangarh. While Nisha died on the spot, Tarun was killed when he was being rushed to a Jodhpur hospital from Pali after primary treatment.

Sonia Badgujjar and Ashi Sharma, residents of Jaipur’s Harnathpura and Niwaru Road respectively and Deepak Kumar Maheshwari, belonging to Jodhpur’s Roopnagar Mahamanadir area were injured in the mishap, police said.

The collision with the divider was so intense that the car overturned 3-4 times. A police team from nearby Sadar police station area in Pali reached the spot and launched a rescue operation.

“The family members of the deceased and injured victims have been informed. We are trying to find out how the mishap occurred, but it seems the car lost control and hit the divider. One of the tyres came off and was found several meters away from the accident spot,” said the officer.
