Rajasthan International Film Festival – 2024 to take place in Jaipur from today

JAIPUR: The 10th edition of the Rajasthan International Film Festival (RIFF) will take place from January 27 to January 31.

The theme for RIFF 2024 is ‘Youth and Film Heritage’. Festival Founder Somendra Harsh, Sudhir Kasliwal (Director of Gem Cinema), Marianne Borgo (French Actress, Advisor Jury Riff 2024), James Higginson (International Filmmaker, Germany), and Patrick George (Filmmaker, Germany) attended the media briefing.

The schedule for the five-day event was released at Gem Cinema along with the poster. The opening film for RIFF 2024 will be ‘Guide’, a superhit film from 1965 starring Dev Anand and Waheeda Rehman. It will be screened in a 4K Classic version for free at ‘The Gem Cinema’.

Films from eight countries including India, Australia, America, France, Germany, Poland, Switzerland, and Venezuela will be shown at RIFF. This includes feature films, short films, documentaries, animation films as well as music video albums. A total of thirteen languages are represented in the festival’s film screenings.

In addition to film screenings, there will also be open forum workshops and talk shows during the event. The festival will conclude on January 31 with an awards ceremony where various awards such as Lifetime Achievement Award and Best Writer Award will be presented to international filmmakers.

RIFF founders Somendra Harsh and Anshu Harsh announced that this year’s festival will feature notable individuals such as social worker Ruma Devi and director Tinu Anand who will share their experiences at the event.
