Rajasthan: 3 doctors arrested for attacking policeman during a drinking party

The incident took place at a police outpost in Dungarpur district. Dr Rajesh Kumar Kharadi, Dr Radhakrishna and Dr Basant Atrey were arrested from Udaipur.

Jaipur: Dungargarh police in Rajasthan arrested three government doctors after they allegedly attacked a police constable during a liquor party at a police outpost last week.

Dr Rajesh Kumar Kharadi, Dr Radhakrishna and Dr Basant Atrey were arrested from Udaipur, according to the police. They had fled to Udaipur after FIRs were registered in the matter. The doctors were deputed at nearly primary health centers.

The liquor party was organized at Antari police outpost in Dungarpur district. Three doctors and some constables were allegedly having liquor.

A dispute broke out among them over a petty issue. A constable Ganesh Lal and three doctors allegedly attacked another constable Kacharu Lal. He was hit on head with some object. The constable sustained serious injuries in the attack and was admitted to a hospital for treatment.

Senior police officials suspended three constables and booked the three doctors. They were arrested on Sunday.
