Raj ACB launches toll free number for registering corruption complaints

Jaipur: Rajasthan anti-corruption bureau (ACB) has launched a toll free helpline number where the people can call and register complaints about corruption in any government department of the state. The toll free number is – ‘1064’. Senior ACB officials said that the number has been launched on a trial basis and will be available for the public from next week. The toll free number will make it easier for the public to register corruption complaints. It will also strengthen the ACB’s network and resources for eradicating corruption from the government departments.

DG ACB Alok Tripathi told media persons that the ACB toll free number – ‘1064’ – is functioning on a trial basis currently. “We have been testing how the process of the corruption complaint registration will flow and if there are any bugs in the system. We hope to formally launch the system by the end of next week,” said Tripathi.

ACB is receiving almost one complaint a day since the trial started a week ago.

“We believe that the number of complaints will go up after more people come to know about the helpline number. We will launch an awareness campaign to ensure that the people are aware of this useful helpline number,” said Tripathi.

ACB has won laurels recently after some high –profile bureaucrats and government officials were trapped.
